Maker Ammo, LLC, the parent company behind the Maker Bullets brand, was founded in November 2014 by Paul Hendrixson and Constant Laubscher. The company's origins trace back to 2012, when the founders began manufacturing a 220-grain solid copper bullet for .300 Blackout, responding to the limited availability of subsonic projectiles on the market at the time.

Driven by innovation and practical field experience, the team soon developed a unique line of fracturing and expanding bullets, specifically designed for subsonic hog hunting. These designs led to the filing of patents for their proprietary fracturing technology. As interest in the bullets grew, friends launching new ammunition lines began private-labeling Maker projectiles—helping to scale production and expand offerings.

By early 2015, the Maker Bullets brand was formally introduced to offer a comprehensive range of match-grade, expanding, and fracturing bullets, with options available both with and without polymer tips. All projectiles are manufactured using precision CNC machining from lead-free, solid copper, ensuring superior consistency, accuracy, and terminal performance.

Today, Maker Bullets offers over 250 caliber and grain weight configurations, making it one of the most diverse and innovative bullet manufacturers in the solid copper projectile segment. With a strong focus on ballistic performance, environmental responsibility, and cutting-edge design, Maker continues to support hunters, sport shooters, and tactical users seeking advanced, high-performance ammunition solutions.
