SEATING DEPTH VS SHANK DEPTH?
I'm relatively new to reloading/handloading . I generally load to the posted COAL (overall length). The spec sheet for 270win with a Nosler 165gr ABLR mentions "seating depth " and "shank seating depth" . I'm assuming "seating depth" is how much of the bullet is in the neck of the case. "Shank seating depth" is foreign to me, I have not come across that wording prior.
Can someone enlighten me? Always willing to learn.
