I agree with spricht Deutsh, but add that in most cases the trim to length is usually 0.010 shorter than the max. length. It is most important to maintain a uniform length for all your cases if you are crimping the bullet, especially if the bullet has a crimp groove. You do not need to worry as much if using a Lee Factory Crimp (LFC) die, because this crimps the bullet with horizontal pressure, and not at the end of the case. Not sure if the die is available in your round, but worth looking for. Enjoy days at the range.

Missing Items

Alpha is missing from the list of cartridge manufacturers.

When trying to add a cartridge case, selecting Other manufacturer causes the add to fail.

DTAC (David Tubb) is missing from the list of bullet manufacturers.

There is no ability to select the primer from the personalized load page. It assumes one primer size, such as LRP for 6mm Creedmoor, when the reality is that brass is available from multiple manufacturers in 6mm Creedmoor caliber with both LR and SR primer pockets.

Firefox browser on MS Win 10.

Thanks for the constructive feedback - much appreciated! We added Alpha, we added DTAC. We tested "Others" but could not encounter the issue you are describing.

We understand the Primer Size comment but need to think if/how we can solve as this would be a major change in the data model. Keepo you posted 👍

.223 Rem/5.56 NATO NAS3 Load Data?

Starting load development with Shell Shock NAS3 Cases - anyone have some load data they could share? For reference, I will be developing the load for my AR - presently have a Ballistic Advantage SPR profiled 18" barrel with Wylde chamber and 1:8 twist rate. Barrel has a rifle length gas system with Rifle Speed adjustable gas block. Barrel is profiled for the OPS 12 Suppressor - will run an OCM5. Want to try the Sierra 77 gr TMK, Berger 80.5 gr Fullbore, and Hornady 80 gr ELD Match. Have some modified magazines to allow loading beyond Std 2.26" COAL so I would also like to see if I can get the 88 gr or 90 gr projectiles to stabilize. Appreciate any/all comments and assistance.

Goal velocity on XXL vs the manufacturers website?

Hi, folks.

I'm reloading my .375 H&H with Peregrine VLR4 230gr bullets, using Lovex S062 powder.

However, I'm battling to find a stable velocity which also GROUPS well on the target. I'm seeing a BIG discrepancy, though, between what the target velocities are on this XXL site, versus that on Peregrine's website. XXL has the target velocity at 2710 fps, where Peregrine has the velocity at 2920 fps.

Personally, I think 2920 fps for a 230gr out of a .375 is rather fast, but that comes from the manufacturer.

Question is - what should my goal be? Do I aim for what the manufacturer says, or go by the XXL load data?

Any advice?

I never compromise on accuracy. When I have several well performing rounds, then I go for the fastest / highest energy. Agree with meconely - I also load a ladder of different charge weights and COLs and see what my gun likes the most 😀👍
