.25×47 Lapua is a wildcat cartridge created by necking the 6.5×47 Lapua case down to accept .257” (6.5 mm) bullets. It generally uses bullets from about 75–135 grains and offers higher velocities with lighter bullets while retaining the excellent case design and brass quality of the parent cartridge.
