The .260 Ackley Improved (.260 AI) is a modified version of the standard .260 Remington. By blowing the case walls forward and steepening the shoulder to a sharp 40-degree angle, it increases case capacity. This allows handloaders to push 140-grain 6.5mm bullets into the 2,900+ fps velocity window.
