The 22×47 Lapua (also written .22×47 Lapua) is a wildcat cartridge made by necking the 6.5×47 Lapua case down to accept .224” (5.56 mm) bullets. Because it is not a standardized C.I.P. or SAAMI cartridge, there are no official maximum specifications. Most dimensions are inherited from the parent case.
