The .20 Nosler is a varmint cartridge that Nosler had SAAMI cartridge and chamber drawings accepted for back in 2017, alongside the released .22 Nosler, but it was never officially announced by the company. It is built on the same rebated-rim, 6.8 Remington SPC–derived case as the .22 Nosler, designed for the AR-15 bolt face. Crucially, it is not simply a necked-down .22 Nosler — the base-to-shoulder length is stretched by almost 0.100", giving it 2–2.5 grains more case capacity and preventing cross-chambering. As of recent years it remains unreleased, so no factory brass exists, though Nosler has published load data for it.
