Unlike traditional lead-core bullets, monolithic copper bullets retain nearly 100% of their weight, which results in deep penetration, reliable exit wounds, and minimal fragmentation. This design reduces meat damage and significantly lowers the risk of lead contamination in game meat and the environment.

A key feature of SAX ammunition is its mechanically engineered expansion geometry. Expansion is initiated through pre-cut petals or hollow-point designs that open reliably across a wide range of impact velocities.
