RWS logo

For over 100 years, RWS has been synonymous with precision rifle ammunition, proudly manufactured exclusively at its headquarters in Fürth-Stadeln, Germany. The company's heritage dates back to 1855, when Heinrich Utendoerffer began producing priming compounds in his Nuremberg laboratory. In 1889, the laboratory was acquired by the Rhenish-Westphalian Explosives Stock Company (RWS), founded in Troisdorf in 1886. From 1931 until 2002, RWS operated under Dynamit Nobel AG, and since then, it has become part of RUAG Ammotec GmbH—a global leader in ammunition technology.

RWS ammunition is trusted by generations of hunters and sport shooters who value uncompromising quality, precision, and reliability. Every cartridge is the result of extensive experience and expertise, crafted by specialists—many of whom are dedicated hunters themselves. RWS products are designed to meet the highest demands in hunting and sport shooting, offering outstanding performance in the field and on the range.

In addition to factory-loaded ammunition, RWS offers a premium selection of reloading components, catering to hunters, long-range shooters, and competitive marksmen who prefer to customize their loads. Reloading not only improves accuracy and cost-efficiency but also deepens the shooter’s understanding of ballistics and ammunition performance.

Whether crafting rounds for precision shooting or fine-tuning hunting ammunition, RWS reloading components—including primers, cases, and bullets—deliver exceptional consistency and performance. With RWS, shooters gain access to German-engineered quality and a legacy of excellence that continues to define the future of ammunition.

About RWS load data on XXL Reloading

This page collects every RWS bullet we hold reloading data for, grouped by caliber and bullet weight. Each caliber and bullet combination links to a detail page with powder-by-powder load recipes: powder brand and type, start and maximum charge weight in grains and grams, case fill ratio, calculated peak chamber pressure, muzzle velocity and the barrel length the load was computed for.

Unlike a manufacturer's own tables, our RWS data is generated with an inner-ballistics engine across the full powder range, so you can compare many powders side by side for the same bullet instead of the handful a single load manual prints. Charge weights, pressures and velocities are modelled consistently, which makes cross-powder and cross-caliber comparison meaningful when you work up a load.

Use the caliber and bullet-weight filters above to narrow the list, switch to the Bullets tab to browse the RWS product range, and open any combination to see the full load table. All data is calculated reference data for experienced handloaders: always start at the minimum charge, work up carefully in your own rifle, and cross-check against current published data before firing.
