DTAC Load Data

David Tubb’s DTAC bullets, particularly the 6mm 115-grain variants, are engineered for precision long-range shooting. These bullets feature a Rebated Boat Tail (RBT) design, which enhances the bullet’s ability to seal the bore upon firing, reducing gas blow-by and potentially extending barrel life . The RBT design also contributes to consistent ballistic performance, with a reported G1 Ballistic Coefficient (BC) of 0.620, indicating excellent aerodynamic efficiency.

To further improve performance, Tubb introduced the NOSERING® modification—a precision-cut ring near the bullet’s tip. This feature promotes controlled expansion upon impact, making the bullet suitable for both target shooting and hunting applications. Additionally, the NOSERING® enhances shot-to-shot drag uniformity, resulting in tighter vertical groupings and more consistent BC values.

For barrel maintenance, Tubb offers the FinalFinish® and Throat Maintenance System (TMS) bullet kits. These kits use abrasive-coated bullets to smooth out imperfections in the barrel, reducing fouling and making cleaning easier. Regular use of TMS rounds can help maintain throat integrity and prolong the barrel’s accurate life  .
