The 6.5x68 caliber is a powerful, high velocity cartridge developed in the 1930s by August Schüler. It was designed to provide a long range shooting experience with maximum accuracy and quality, made in Germany. This cartridge is ideal for mountain hunts for chamois, Ibex, lighter moufflons or Scottish red deer as it can produce outstandingly accurate shots.
The 6.5x68mm has similar performance to the 6.5mm Remington Magnum and is loaded by RWS with a very powerful charge that makes it one of the most powerful long range cartridges available today. Despite its .264 inch bore size, this caliber is known to be very harsh on barrels due to its high velocity and power.
